A Framework for Risk Management in Small Medium Enterprises in Developing Countries

Failure to holistically manage risk in Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is one of the major causes small businesses failure. To answer research question as what supports adoption Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) SMEs, this aims analyse (RM) SMEs and develops a framework facilitate ERM. In achieving primary objective, establishes for SMEs: sources information RM; importance governance managing risk; fundamentals pillars RM. Previous conducted on RM reviewed challenges successful implementation ERM proposed different ways address these challenges. The common ground reached by that there need simplification SMEs. We followed an interpretive philosophy with inductive approach employed qualitative methodological choice cross-sectional time horizon through data collection, employing review scholarly literature, to, end, develop conceptual Framework (SMERMF). limitation empirical part has not been concluded yet. present results, will be compared theory conclude research.
